Vintage Weddings 1970’s
OK, so I can’t make too much fun of the 1970’s wedding fashion, since my parents got married in the 70’s and my mom reads this blog:-) So Mom, just for you.. here is a variety of vintage fashion from the flower power look to the prairie style. When I think about the 70’s, I think of disco, fondue, mixed fruity drinks, and hippies. For formal wear who could forget the tuxedo shirts with the ruffle front on it. It was a time with a lot of colors, big bell sleeves, bright yellow and lots and lots of lace!! Floral decor had to include flower baskets, daises, and carnations.
My parents wedding in 1977 above. I actually wore my mom’s dress for my wedding, extra special for my Dad to walk me down the aisle in it. Thanks Mom for looking more elegant than super trendy!
